The music in this installation is generated live from biometrics exhibited by four tropical plants. This data, sourced using a MIDI controller for plants (MIDI Sprout), is translated into music designed to allow listeners to monitor subtle energetic activities in their environment.
So, what are the plants responding to? Well, that’s up for discovery. Plants are responding to stimuli both perceivable and unperceivable to humans. Many visitors have experienced shifts in plant music patterns in sync with thoughts, feelings, actions and intentions. Many notice they feel relaxed after spending time with musical plants.
We invite you to explore your own relationship with plants by feeling the music. Can you tune into the exchange?
